I'm totally new to TrueNas (12.0 core), and was moved a bit to fast with installing the Plex plugin (latest as of Monday), nothing major, it runs fine, just under the root user (again, i was kind of amazed i got all the storage stuff working and just went for it). I didn't realize it till when i looked at my library and noticed that not all my content showed up even though i could see it in the dataset. when I looked at the filesystem i noticed that not all the permissions were the same across the folders and files. I changed everything to root:wheel 755 and re-scanned and then they showed up. BUT that made me realize my real mistake of the incredibly stupid that I didn't setup anything user/group wise.
So i guess my question is: is it easier/better to uninstall the plugin, create the plex user:group and reinstall plugin OR 'fix' the current install. IF so what do i need to change beside the dataset permissions (and where)?
Thanks in advance

- Mount your storages as a local disk. NetDrive supports WebDAV, Google Drive, FTP, SFTP, Dropbox, OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Box, S3, Azure Blob Storage, Azure File Storage, Swift, Yandex, Mega, etc. If you have Synology or QNAP NAS, NetDrive is what you need.
- Screenshot from Backblaze B2 App Key page after you successfully create a new key. Step 4: Select the local directory or directories to backup and click Next. Step 5: Select Hyper Backup and then click Next. Step 6: Enter a Task name (ex. Backblaze S3 Backup), then click Next and Apply.
- Netflix doesn't have Spanish movies released in the 70's and 80's it's a large vhs collection I've converted years ago. None of it makes financial sense even my water-cooled PC's or server I plan to buy later on, till then I think cloud storage is a close 2nd.
- Backblaze B2 is a separate service from the Backup Service. It provides AWS S3 like functionality.
Plex Backblaze B2 Reviews
Backblaze used to be really simple. Backblaze meant one thing, simple, easy to use cloud backup. Then in September 2015 Backblaze launched B2 cloud storage and went from being synonymous with cloud backup to having a little bit of an identity problem.
